Embracing Spring Dreams

Embracing Spring Dreams

Hello, lovely souls! 💡 Ever find yourself wishing for spring, only to be greeted by a fresh layer of snow? Ah, the wonders of Wyoming’s climate!

It has its own rhythm, and March often decides to sprinkle a bit of winter magic. On average, we might even get snow until the end of May, or in the chillier years, snowflakes might grace us until July decides to join the party.

While beekeepers in warmer corners of the U.S. are buzzing about feeding, swarming, raising queens, and making splits, we’re here in Wyoming patiently awaiting our turn. Another three weeks before the season officially unfolds, and a delightful three months before the full bloom of springtime.

So, what’s a Wyoming beekeeper to do in the meantime? Well, I choose to weave dreams of warmer times and faraway places. Here’s a little daydream for you. Meet Jon, my adventurous son, savoring rare moments of paragliding down the road from his home, taking a break from his superhero duties of saving the world.

And when I say rare, I mean it! Most of his leisure time involves scaling mountains, towers, buildings, and bridges—embracing the adrenaline rush as he leaps off, soaring away in one of his beloved flying suits.
