Year 3 October - Season's End 🖊️

-This lumpy sky signals the end of my beekeeping season.

Hey there! You won’t believe what’s happening in Casper—it’s snowing! Yeah, it’s fashionably late, but it’s here, and it’s waving a snowy flag to declare the close of my buzzing beekeeping season.

I saw it coming, so last week, post-work, I made a beeline to my buzzing buddies for a final check. Popped a few lids, inspected the feed sugar—standard procedure. Even with the unseasonably warm weather, the sugar stash seemed untouched.

-The sun sets on my beeyard for this season’s end.

This season has been a real challenge. No more tending to the bees until early next spring. They’re on their own now. I’ll swing by during winter, keep an eye on the fence, and sneak in a late winter feed check with the sugar stash. But, as of now, the curtain’s down on this beekeeping act.

Now, it’s time to kick back, reflect, maybe dive into some reading, and hopefully emerge as a top-notch beekeeper come the next buzzing season. ✨

-Cheers, D 🍂🐝
