-Stepping into a fresh start, on the right foot.

Here I Go Again - Blossoming Beginnings

Guess what? Those 5 packages I brought into the hive world have smoothly transitioned into 5 buzzing small colonies. The first batch of brood is starting to hatch, and the once dwindling colony populations are gearing up for a comeback. With the upcoming brood cycle, these colonies are about to hit the expansion button.

-New life. New hope! Just be careful not to kneel in the cactus.

Before we know it, these little guys will be raising the roof and asking for a second deep brood body. I like to keep things cozy for small colonies, especially in my cold and windy neck of the woods. Surprisingly, they seem to thrive with a bit less space rather than more.

Now, let’s talk about the weather. It’s been playing hard to get, throwing in some chilly winds and an extra dose of dryness. Looks like we might be heading back into the drought zone.

But hey, with new life comes new hope. Seeing those golden yellow droplets of buzzing life in those hives again is nothing short of magical.

Here’s to embracing new beginnings and hoping for a bloomin’ good season ahead! โœจ
